What did we propose?
We knew there was a limited budget with this project so our job was to work smart, maximising the customer’s existing space and differentiating areas whilst keeping the work required to a minimum.
Having initially proposed glass partitions around the kitchen area, the plan was modified to enlarge the break out space and some of the glazing was switched for stud partitions with sound attenuation so that any noise from the TV or break out space did not disrupt the open plan office.
We also installed a glazed partition between the reception area and the communal area to create a walk through to clearly define the spaces where visitors were welcomed in and the open plan space beyond. Â This also gave us an opportunity to echo company branding with a manifestation of the customer’s logo on the glass partition.
Lastly, but by no means least, we recommended a combination of new and pre-loved office furniture (which we assembled, installed and removed all associated rubbish) to transform the aesthetics, helping to keep costs to a minimum.
